I’ll Buy That for a Dollar
This is my first presentation at a conference, among some of the most accomplished of my peers in the nation. I’m privileged to be a part of it, and I hope I bring something to the table for them to be excited or inspired by.
Microdonations have a lot of power to do good. Used properly, they fund charities and giving drives of all sizes. However, most microdonation efforts tend to be shallow. By building a system that is emotive, compelling, competitive, and social, I hope to open a discussion about a model like this can be created to create communities for our alumni – and beyond – where giving to an institution is seen as fulfilling the mission of that institution to do good and to provide valuable outreach to the world.
